Welcome to our guide on troubleshooting TFT display errors on Kaabo electric scooters. These scooters are renowned for their performance, reliability, and cutting-edge technology. However, like any electronic device, they may encounter display errors from time to time. In this blog post, we'll explore some common TFT display errors that Kaabo scooter owners may encounter and provide simple solutions to help you get back on the road quickly and safely.

    Error Code Failure Description Solution
Display 1 at the bottom of the information switching page Motor phase loss
    • Ensure all phase wires are securely connected by unplugging and then re-plugging them.
    • Inspect the motor phase wire for any signs of damage or defects.
    • Perform roll testing to further diagnose the issue.
Display 2 at the bottom of the information switching page Hall fault status
    • Ensure all hall sensor wires are securely connected by unplugging and then re-plugging them.
    • Inspect the hall sensor wire for any signs of damage or defects.

    Scenario:
If a GTR scooter displays "ERROR CODE 2" and the motor exhibits resistance or a notchy feeling when spun by hand, follow these troubleshooting steps:

    • Disconnect the phase and hall sensor wires (blue, green, yellow, and the 5-6 pin connector it's paired with).
    • Spin the motor again. If the notchy feeling disappears, it indicates a controller issue, with a likelihood of 99%.
    • An example case illustrating this issue is observed in Cruiser motor cables burning, as demonstrated here: Video Link
Display 4 at the bottom of the information switching page Handlebar failure status
    • Check all connectors at the handlebar are connected properly.
    • Ensure no pins are broken in the connectors.
Display 5 at the bottom of the information switching page Undervoltage protection status
    • Check if the settings are configured at the correct voltage.
    • Measure the voltage at the battery to ensure it falls within the correct working voltage range. Refer to this video link at the specified timestamp for guidance: https://youtu.be/_mPI3we8aJk?si=k9uRzY-gxwAyhWSK&t=236.

    • Check all connectors at the handlebar are connected properly.
    • Ensure that no pins are broken.
Display 8 at the bottom of the information switching page Over temperature protection
    • Ensure that the temperature on the display is cooling below the set temperature protection value.
Display 30 at the speed area Instrument communication failure
